Rui Jia Zheng is a non-profit professional interested in using data to tell stories about how to resolve performance obstacles in public schools nationwide. Born in China and raised in New York, NY, Rui Jia is passionate about providing tools for students to reach their full potential and a safe space to fully be themselves.

As Read Ahead’s Program Coordinator at P.S. 1, she facilitates all aspects of weekly sessions and ensures that all stakeholders are receiving the support they need to produce optimal program outcomes.

In the past, she was a Taiwan Fulbright ETA and AmeriCorps ESL Instructor, which cultivated her fondness for working with and teaching elementary school students from underprivileged backgrounds.

Rui Jia holds a B.A. in International Affairs and Chinese Language & Literature from The George Washington University.
