Read Ahead Junior Board

The mission of the Read Ahead Junior Board is to foster a network of emerging young professional leaders committed to making a significant impact on their communities by increasing awareness of the Read Ahead brand, and by raising funds to support the goals of Read Ahead and the children it serves.
Fundraising Events

Each year the Junior Board raises critical funds to support Read Ahead’s partner elementary schools that do not receive funding from a corporate partner.  Strikes, Spares, and Splits is a bowling benefit that has sold out for the past three years!

Sense of Community

Being a part of the Junior Board is a way to enhance your professional and social networks through professional development nights, Junior Board outings, and leadership opportunities on subcommittees.

More than 50% of our Junior Board members serve as mentors in the Read Ahead program!

Throughout the course of the year (September – June), the Junior Board meets to plan fundraising initiatives to achieve their yearly goal in support of Read Ahead. During the 2016 – 2017 year, the Junior Board raised more than $100,000 in support of
