A seasoned nonprofit leader, Zoe serves as Executive Director for Read Ahead. Over the course of her career, she has taken on progressively senior positions for multiple nonprofit organizations lifting up the communities they serve.
Prior to joining Read Ahead, Zoe served as Sr. Vice President, Strategic Alliances & Development for the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE), leading the development strategy to ensure the funding of mission-critical work. Prior to joining RISE, Zoe held roles in fundraising/resource development at Boys & Girls Clubs of America and March of Dimes. There, she was able to create and oversee award-winning corporate partnership and cause marketing programs, raising millions of dollars of funding for the organizations. Before entering the non-profit space, Zoe held partnership marketing roles in the magazine publishing industry; most notably at Hearst Integrated Media, MORE, Seventeen and SELF, where she created custom marketing and promotional programs in conjunction with a team of advertising sales reps.
Zoe holds a BA from Connecticut College and lives in Westchester, NY with her two children. Throughout their lives she has passed on her love of reading and writing, beginning when first as a reader to them and now watching them find joy in reading and creating their own stories. Her favorite book continues to be Where the Red Fern Grows, by Wilson Rawls.
